Happy 2017 from all of us at Jurassic Fields. We are pleased to announce the first four bands for this year’s festival in the centre of Bridport. We have been working hard to make the 4th year bigger and better for than ever before for everyone to enjoy. This years festival be on July 14th and 15th 2017
On the Friday night the main stage headline act will be The Sterioironics, from Weymouth, an exciting tribute act who will thrill the crowd. Stereoironics are the UK’s number 1 Stereophonics tribute Band & have been recommended to many by The Stereophonics themselves. In an interview with Viva magazine, Kelly Jones said of the band: “They are brilliant and they learn our songs quicker than we do!”
Wille and the Bandits
Saturday will feature 4 stages of full programming to keep the whole family entertained.
Wille and the Bandits – It’s rare to find a band as dynamic as Wille and the Bandits, one that is just as comfortable and as impressive at both ends of the sonic spectrum. In the modern age of disposable music it is refreshing to hear a band that still value the art of creating albums and who continue to bring new instruments and ideas into their songwriting rather than settling for a tried and tested formula. Ten seconds of YouTube will not scratch the surface of the band’s sound and message; this is a band that is very much about discovery and one best experienced LIVE!.
Mr Tea and the Minions
Mr Tea and the Minions – cheekiness, fun and a love for the music bind the band together into one massive colourful explosion! On a mission to ignite crazy dancing by audiences everywhere, with their brand of Gypsy flavoured party music to get their audience stirred into a big bouncing frenzy of fun! The Minions play their own unique take on high energy Balkan party music – combining Gypsy flavoured Ska, Dub and Swing with an infusion of soulful melodies, cheeky Eastern riffs and booming beats and bass to put a smile on your face and your knees up past your ears!
The Salt – Dynamic 4-piece indie rock band from SW England. The Salt have been playing at Jurassic Fields every year and this year they will be opening the main stage on Saturday.
